Virtual Visits for Home-Based Care. No-App Video

Face to face, without the drive.

No-app virtual visits launched from a simple text link, for triage before rolling a clinician, family conferences across time zones, and the visual check that turns a worried phone call into a confident plan.

What the rollout actually looked like

“Most physicians only needed about 5 minutes of training and we were able to see and serve our patients who could not leave home.”

Amanda Vandervoort, RN, BBA, CHC
Director of Clinical Information

“Offices were set up in minutes and within a week we had 45 providers in 15 different practices successfully seeing patients virtually with little to no issues.”

Stephen Smesny
Chief Information Officer
How it works

From text to face-to-face in one tap.

1

Send the link

A visit invitation arrives by text, no app store, no account, no tech support call.

2

Everyone joins

Patient, family members near and far, and your clinician, on any device with a camera.

3

Decide with eyes on

See the wound, the swelling, the home situation, and decide whether tonight needs a visit or reassurance.

Why it matters

Some questions need eyes, not just ears.

A phone call can't see the surgical site or the confused expression. A virtual visit can, saving unnecessary drives, catching what voice alone misses, and bringing distant family into decisions.

  • Triage visually before dispatching after-hours, many worries resolve on camera
  • Family conferences that include the out-of-state decision-makers
  • Extends scarce specialist time across your whole service area
  • Every visit documented, part of the patient's thread and record
"We deployed QliqSOFT's Virtual Visits because of the simplicity in their design: two click launch and no app for patients to install. This allowed us to scale the solution rapidly and has been a big win for continuing our hospice care."Jim Burrill, VP of Information Technology

Before the call connects

The tech check happens before anyone is waiting.

Nothing about a video visit is harder than the two minutes before it starts. Virtual Visits spends those two minutes on the patient's equipment instead of on hold: sound, microphone, and camera are tested automatically when the patient or caregiver opens the link, and access is requested in plain language rather than a browser prompt nobody recognizes.

  • Sound, microphone, and camera tested automatically, with nothing to install and no test call to schedule
  • The patient or caregiver is asked to allow microphone and camera access, and told what each one is for
  • A readiness report reaches the agent or clinician before they join, so the state of the patient's device is known rather than guessed
  • When the check finds a problem, the appointment still happens: continue on video, switch to a voice call to their phone, or stay in chat

Published telehealth studies put technical failure at roughly one in ten scheduled video visits, with adults over 65 about twice as likely to be affected, and find that structured readiness outreach before the visit measurably improves completion. See Data & Sources.
